Kate Middleton Completes Her Somber Look With This $30 Sparkly Accessory at Festival of Remembrance

Kate Middleton went for an appropriately somber look as she and the rest of the British royals honored fallen soldiers today at the Festival of Remembrance in Kensington, London.
Middleton sported a navy, long-sleeved dress with sheer black tights.

For shoes, the Duchess of Cambridge selected the same pumps she wore to last year’s Festival of Remembrance: Jimmy Choo’s Romy heels. The court shoes featured a pointed toe, a black velvet upper and a slim stiletto heel. While not available for purchase in the fabrication chosen by the duchess, the Romy can be shopped in suede at Farfetch.com for just under $600.

To complete the look, the mother of three selected an Alexander McQueen clutch and a sparkly Zara headband. Puffy headbands are a major fall trend, and the Zara one is a relatively accessibly priced take on the fad — available on the brand’s site for just $30.

Melania Trump jetted from Washington, D.C. to Alabama today alongside husband Donald Trump — and she looked sleek in head-to-heel black.
The first lady wore a knee-length coat with a ribbed collar and a button-up front, which she layered over a long-sleeved dress.

For footwear, Trump went with Manolo Blahnik’s BB pumps.
The shoes were an unsurprising choice: the former model has favored BB pumps for all occasions throughout husband Donald Trump’s presidency. Named after the French actress Brigitte Bardot and created more than 10 years ago, the BB boasts a 4-inch stiletto heel, a pointed toe and a low-cut vamp.
Today’s pair came in a classic black suede. The shoes sell for $625 and up depending on fabrication at Nordstrom.com.

In addition to the BB pump, the other staple of Trump’s wardrobe is the Christian Louboutin So Kate, which similarly has a pointed toe and stiletto heel.
Although Trump can mostly be found in either the BB or the So Kate, she has been known to mix footwear from other brands into her wardrobe,

The loafers the “Hart of Dixie” alum chose are a reissue from the first-ever Tory Burch shoe range, inspired by a pair of shoes the designer’s father once owned. I Hate Running, But These Are 4 Running Shoes I Like — And You Will Too

Working out centers me, it gives a sense of accomplishment and I always feel great leaving the gym. However, I do not enjoy running. It feels more like a chore and I likely wouldn’t do it if I didn’t love pizza so much.
What does get me excited to run is a new pair of sneakers. And lately, there are four models that I find myself lacing up more often than others.
Here are the running shoes from Asics, Under Armour, Saucony and Brooks that I’ve been enjoying wearing on the road and treadmill.
Asics Gel-Nimbus 21
Out of my four favorite styles available online today, this and the Brooks selection have the closest ground feel, which I enjoy because often an oversized midsole makes me feel like I’m running on stilts. And even though the Gel-Nimbus 21 has a low profile, the cushioning was not sacrificed (thanks to Asics’ acclaimed Gel and FlyteFoam techs). I also like how secure my foot feels and how deep my heel sits in the shoe.

Lanvin Showed a Vast Shoe Collection in an Olympic Sized Swimming Pool & Every Last Pair Was a Winner

He indulged in a spot of paddling last season, but for spring 2020, new Lanvin creative director Bruno Sialelli cast off his water-wings and plunged in at the deep end. Showing around an Olympic-sized swimming pool, across all three stories of Paris’ Pailleron sports center, he unveiled a vast array of summer-ready shoes, and every one was medal-worthy.

Rope shoes, suede moccasins and Chelsea boots were done in muted sandy shades and the occasional shot of mint sorbet.
The boots, he said, were inspired by a trip he made to Jordan and Israel. “I saw all the kids wearing army shorts and Chelsea boots and I found it very sexy,” he recalled.

Brightly striped espadrilles riffed off beach parasols while the sort of sandals sold by Greek island artisans, in natural leathers, took on the saturated colors of the Aegean Sea.
There were also PVA shoes in vibrant hues like rubber duck yellow. Sialelli, who hails from Marseilles in southern France, said the idea came from the footwear people wear on the region’s rocky beaches.

Laura Conwell-O’Brien of the Atlanta Shoe Market on Working Women Having Faith in Their Talents and Abilities

Every day in June, FN is showcasing female leaders across the industry for our Women in Power series.
For decades, Laura Conwell-O’Brien’s job as the executive director of the Atlanta Shoe Market has been a juggling act, serving the needs of designers, vendors and retailers in the competitive shoe industry. However, one of her biggest challenges has been making her voice heard as she came up against a male-dominated board of directors in steering the organization in new directions.
However, Conwell-O’Brien did not give up on her initiatives, and by consequence, has helped pave the way for the next generation of women in the business community.
Here, she discusses the challenges female leaders face when eyeing the executive suite, and how she’s managed to navigate the stumbling blocks in her career path.
What is the most significant barrier to female leadership in the fashion and footwear industries?
“Women in the fashion industry are hitting a mid-career wall. It’s not that women are any less ambitious than men; on the contrary, they’re more likely than men to aspire to be a top executive. Once a woman reaches a position such as VP, she’s eager to continue her career.“
What will be the biggest challenge for the generation
