The Good Morning Britain presenter’s tweet sparked over 7,000 comments in response, many of which criticised Lily.
After somebody replied calling her a “privilege-denying clown”, she fired back: “Oh fuck off I shout out my privilege every five mins. It’s because of my privilege and proximity to to it that I know what inherently greedy c***s we all are. I KEEP TRYING TO TELL YOU.”
Lily’s name also trended on the social media site on Friday, and by the end of the day, her account no longer existed.
Lily has regularly spoken out against the current government and the Conservative party and had earlier shared a photo of her polling card on Instagram with the caption “Tories OUT”.
She also hailed the Labour manifesto as “the best I’ve ever seen” in a video posted on Instagram.
