Industry Moves: Diesel CEO Departs, Tom Ford Poised to Take Over CFDA & More

March 18, 2019: Marco Agnolin will leave his role as CEO at Diesel on March 28. The executive joined the company in January 2018, succeeding Alessandro Bogliolo, who exited in October 2017. Agnolin’s successor has yet to be named, and he is expected to stay on the Diesel board “to guarantee the completion of planned activities.”
March 14, 2019: According to FN’s sister publication WWD, Tom Ford has been tapped to head the CFDA following news that Diane von Furstenberg is ready to step down from the post. The change could reportedly happen as soon as Tuesday, when the board meets to vote on Ford’s nomination. Furstenberg has served as the face of the organization for 13 years, working closely with president and CEO Steven Kolb, who joined in 2005.
March 12, 2019: Johnston & Murphy, a division of Genesco Inc., has promoted Heather Marsh to the post of VP of customer experience, with oversight responsibility for all retail operations including store operations and e-commerce, as well as partnering with the real estate team to set and execute the brand’s real estate strategy.
