Industry Moves: Nike Taps Coca-Cola Exec to Lead Jordan Brand

Nov. 13, 2018: Nike Inc. announced that Craig Williams will become president of Jordan Brand, effective Jan. 14, 2019. Williams joins Jordan Brand from The Coca-Cola Co., where he most recently served as the firm’s SVP as well as president of The McDonald’s Division Worldwide. Larry Miller, current Jordan Brand president, will become chairman for the newly created Jordan Brand Advisory Board. Miller has served as the brand’s president since 2012; he previously held the role from 1999 to 2006.
Nov. 5, 2018: Kering‘s board of directors has named Ginevra Elkann a new independent director. She succeeds Laurence Boone, who was appointed chief economist of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. Elkann is also president of two film production and distribution companies, Asmara Films and Good Films.
Nov. 5, 2018: Macy’s chief merchandising officer Jeff Kantor is set to retire. The longtime executive departs the Cincinnati-based retail giant on April 16 following 36 years of service. He was named to the post last September and previously served as chief of stores and human resources officer. Macy’s has already begun the search for his successor.
