Fila continues to bring back some of the most famous faces from its past.
The sports brand said Monday that marathon runner German Silva will rejoin its ambassador roster along with Bjorn Borg and Grant Hill, who have also been welcomed back this year.
Silva achieved back-to-back victories at the New York City Marathon in 1994 and 1995. In 1994, he famously recovered from a wrong turn and despite being 40 yards behind, still managed to break the tape first. On Sunday, Silva celebrated his upcoming 50th birthday by running the New York City Marathon with his son, Riwan, who was racing for the first time. Their finish time was 3:18.
