10 Best-Dressed Celebs at the People’s Choice Awards

The 2018 E! People’s Choice Awards red carpet didn’t disappoint on Sunday night in Los Angeles. Stars came out in full force and put fashion at the forefront.
While all guests looked great, some stood out more than others — including Victoria Beckham. The designer and former Spice Girl took home the Fashion Icon Award and proved why she was worthy of the honor.
Wearing a sleek custom-made suit in a silky white material, Beckham paired her outfit with simple black pumps. She said onstage, “Many years ago I started with girl power and now that message is still as strong as ever, but now it’s through the privilege of being able to empower women through my designs.”
Another celeb topping the best-dressed list included Amber Valletta. The model just so happened to also be wearing a Victoria Beckham number. She completed the red dress outfit with matching red sandals.

Minimalism was a big trend on the carpet this year. Mila Kunis kept things simple with a little black dress with PVC crystal-embellished heels, which brought just the right amount of flair.
One the men’s side, actors Ryan Eggold and Harry Shum Jr. wore suits that went

Rita Ora Looks Like a Greek Goddess in an Embellished Outfit at People’s Choice Awards

Rita Ora made a heavenly site at the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.
The “Let You Love Me” singer stepped out on the red carpet in Versace’s periwinkle embellished gown, featuring pointed shoulder pads for a modern, mythical-inspired look. Complete with a high leg slit, the dress also showed off the star’s toned legs, as well as a pair of thigh-high boots with the same ornate details.

Rita wasn’t the only star at the PCAs to embody celestial style, however. Fellow Brit Victoria Beckham was a vision in white wearing an custom-made blanc suit and matching crepe blouse. She finished off her ensemble with a pair of black pointed-toe pumps to break up the monochromatic look.

Busy Philipps Says the ’90s Are Back & Wears Doc Martens to the People’s Choice Awards

Busy Philipps isn’t letting high heels slow her down tonight. The actress walked the red carpet at the E! People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles wearing a pair of Dr. Martens boots.
Seen in a floral print pattern, the Doc Martens paired seamlessly with her Christian Siriano tulle skirt and turtleneck ensemble.
“Listen, the ’90s are back,” Philipps said on the carpet about her non-conventional footwear choice.
During the show, Philipps had to make a quick exit in order to film her new talk-show, “Busy Tonight,” live on E!, she explained, which is why a stiletto wasn’t going to cut it for the event.
“I gotta run from here to Hollywood, so I was like I can’t risk it,” she added. “I’m not wearing heels. I have to wear shoes I know I can go in.”

What the People’s Choice Awards Looked Like in 1976

Just over 40 years ago, 1976 was the year of many big moments: Jimmy Carter was president, Apple was founded, NASA unveiled its first space shuttle, the movie “Rocky” was released and CBS hosted the second annual People’s Choice Awards.
The event was held at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in Los Angeles on Feb. 16. The awards honored the best in pop culture and brought out some big names of the era.

Victoria’s Secret Model Barbara Palvin Gets Shake Shack Fast Food Delivered by Boyfriend Dylan Sprouse

Barbara Palvin got a fast food treat after walking the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway in New York yesterday.
The 25-year-old’s boyfriend, Dylan Sprouse, came to the show with a paper bag full of Shake Shack burgers.
The 26-year-old former Disney Channel star carried the bag on the pink carpet as he posed for photographers before the show, wearing an all-white suit and shiny black dress shoes.

The Victoria’s Secret models stick to notoriously strict workout and diet plans in the weeks leading up to the big show, so it comes as no surprise that Palvin would be in the mood for an indulgent snack.

How I Did It: The Marketing Visionary Behind Your Favorite Social Media Stars

(In a new series, “How I Did It,” FN profiles successful footwear and fashion players — from entrepreneurs to designers to top executives at major brands — and reveals how they carved their path into the industry.)
“Carpe diem.”
The Latin aphorism, which stands for “seize the day,” has become Kendra Bracken-Ferguson’s life mantra.
From her days as a Golduster cheerleader at Purdue University to her current role as chief digital officer at the largest brand management agency in the world, the 38-year-old visionary has made the most of each and every moment on her journey to become a world-class publicist.
She interned at global marketing agency Fleishman-Hillard, developing social media strategies for big-name clients including DKNY. Then she joined American designer brand Ralph Lauren, where she became the company’s first director of digital media.
And now she’s got not one but two businesses under her belt: social media talent management agencies Digital Brand Architects, founded in 2010, a time when the word “influencer” still had its skeptics, and The BrainTrust, which has welcomed clients such as Drew Barrymore, Halle Berry and Molly Sims since its launch two years ago.

Adidas Minority Employees Challenge Top Management at the Brand About Diversity

Months after an exposé revealed internal behavioral challenges at Nike and mere days since Under Armour faced its own supposed #MeToo moment, the corporate culture at powerhouse athletic brand Adidas is facing scrutiny.
In a letter addressed to newly minted Adidas North America president Zion Armstrong and obtained by FN this week, an employee of the brand purporting to speak on behalf of minorities at the company urged the new leader to “diversify representation” in the firm’s upper ranks, alleging racial and ethnic tensions at the brand.
“Internal hallway chatter has coined [North America] leadership and a group of select individuals as the ‘Mafia,’” the letter said. “The assumption is that this nickname is not playful in nature and represents a culture that embodies the opposite of inclusivity, rooted in personal relationships, racial bias and not necessarily on experience or qualifications.”
In the days since the letter was purportedly routed to Armstrong, multiple sources — identifying as racial and ethnic minorities — have told FN that white leaders at the German athletic brand’s Portland, Ore.-headquarters have failed to promote and treat people of color fairly.
“North America senior leaders foster, encourage and reward an exclusive all-white environment made up of the same individuals that are consistently promoted and spotlighted,” said one current employee, who accused leaders of the

Should NYC Landlords Take a Gamble on Short-Term Leases for Retailers?

It’s no secret that New York City retail real estate is a difficult market right now, with empty storefronts a common sight in even the most frequented shopping neighborhoods.
While some brokers are praising the popularity of pop-up stores as a means of rejuvenating the market, a recent report by Optimal Spaces argues that these leases are simply obscuring the true vacancy rate in Manhattan.
Senior managing director Stephen Sunderland, who wrote the report, compares vacancy rates to those of unemployment. “People will always give you the most optimistic number,” he said. “But just as unemployment rates don’t tell you who is working a temp job or who is underemployed, vacancy rates don’t tell the whole story.”
Although the November report claims that total available Manhattan retail space has increased to 1.53 million RSF (rentable square feet), from 1.5 million, the rate for the city’s downtown area has seen a small decrease (from 0.36 million to 0.35 million). Yet downtown Manhattan is also where the majority of pop-ups are located — and so Sunderland warns against reading this too positively.
Short-term leases are appealing to brands — offering the opportunity to test out retail strategies without long-term commitment — but it can be a

How to Get Your Hands on These $1,800 Air Jordan 1 Sneakers

For days, customizer to the stars Dominic “The Shoe Surgeon” Chambrone has been teasing his newest Jordan Brand creation, the “Mars Yard.” And now fans can finally get their hands on a pair — but it’ll cost a pretty penny.
The limited-edition handmade Air Jordan 1 sneakers are on sale now at the Reign x 10 Corso Como NYC collaborative space, which opened in the Italian retailer’s megastore at 1 Fulton St. in Manhattan, NYC. The ticket price for a pair of these luxe kicks? Only a meager $1,800.
Chambrone paid homage to vintage Jordan 1s with the black, white and red color scheme, but from there, took his own creative liberties, which feel both luxurious and modern. The sneaker customizer swapped out the leather panels for premium suede, incorporated an airy mesh material on the sides and toe, and added a bright blue outsole.
And never has the Swoosh logo been so striking as with this oversized version, done in a vivid suede.
